Material:

• The exterior mirror cap is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP, carbon) e is sealed con clear varnish.
• The material is UV, temperature e water resistant.

Material information: The carbon frames are made by he. The cutting e draping of the fabric layers, the hardening process of the plastic matrix e the milling of the raw parts take several hours. The subsequent painting represents a particular challenge. In order to reinforce the unmistakable depth effect of the carbon fabric, the components are painted several times. Every single layer of lacquer has to be dried e then seed. After the last layer of lacquer has been applied, the carbon part is polished to a high gloss (con the exception of the open-pored carbon versions). The carbon components are qualified according to the current BMW steard. This is the only way to ensure that the high requirements, e.g. con regard to aging e temperature resistance, are met senza cracking or paint peeling off the substrate e yellowing of the matrix is ​​avoided. This high degree of manual work e qualification effort is responsible for the price.
